Making Fall Comfort Food with Arla Dofino Cheese for #HavartiParty #MC #sponsored

I participated in an Influencer Activation on behalf of Mom Central Consulting for Arla Dofino. I received product samples to facilitate my review as well as a promotional item to thank me for my participation.

The weather has been cooling down and the rain has started to trickle in, so I have been craving hot cider and warm comfort food like grilled cheese sandwiches and soup. My family loves cheese and we are new to the Arla Dofino brand and to Havarti cheese, so we decided to try something completely new. I am already a big Gouda and Fontina fan, and wanted to find something else my cheese-loving family would love outside of our usual cheddar, mozzarella or string cheese.

Arla Dofino Cheese Toddler Approved

At my husband’s request we put some nachos together this week using our Havarti cheese and it turned out delicious! We nibbled on some of the cheese slices and chips as we prepared it and my toddler alone ate two slices while waiting and could not get enough. We are new Havarti cheese fans and they will be a regular choice for our grilled cheese and lunchbox sandwiches.

I enjoyed the creamy, mild taste of the Havarti cheese with its slight undertone of sharpness. I think that it will work well for the grilled cheese sandwiches we make often, with macaroni and cheese or on a nice juicy burger. Arla Dofino cheeses boast natural ingredients, are free of added hormones and crafted with quality, natural ingredients in an environmentally-friendly way, which give them bonus points in our book.

Now that I am packing lunches for my oldest four or five days a week I need lots of ideas and variety to keep things interesting and I have noticed that my daughter comes home many days without finishing her lunch. I know that many times she is distracted and most likely chats with friends, but other times it seems that if it is too involved to eat or unwrap that it slows her down.

A variety of little bites seem to be the most popular and the Fruit and Cheese Skewers from Arla Dofino are a good example of little bites with a well-rounded variety of colors and foods. Alternately, some whole-wheat crackers with small slices of cheese and a couple of sides make for the perfect “lunchable” like meal that kids seem to love.
