What Kind of Cloth Diapering Parent Are You?

What Kind of Cloth Diapering Parent Are You?We evolve in our cloth diapering style as the months and years pass by, but it is fun to gauge where we are every once and a while. I have had many short phases of addiction over the past five and a half years, continue to be passionate, have learned to be more laid back after a third baby, love me some good, old fashioned prefolds from time to time, but adore the boutique and WAHM made pretties. As you can see on any given day, month or year I would probably fall into a different category.

Disclaimer: I made this is a little quiz for fun, not to diagnose anyone or refer you to a cloth diaper shrink. If you don’t think that the description fits you it is likely that your score was on the border between two different results. Or that all of the questions and weighted answers are completely made up with no scientific rhyme or reason. So have fun and don’t take it too seriously.

Hmm. When I got to the end it says Home Page not found. Did I do something wrong? I clicked the to Fluff Infinity and Beyond button.

    • Whoops. It wasn’t you, it was me! I forgot to save the updated quiz result links on the form after I updated them. It is fixed now. So sorry about that (it is what I get for hitting publish at midnight)!

  2. I got frugal fannie and then laidback lola. There were some questions where my answer didn’t really match the available choices so I took it twice and chose different “close enough” answers each time on those questions. That’s pretty accurate because I really think my approach is a hybrid of the two. :)

  3. This is adorable! It was very fun to take, thanks for making it up for us! ๐Ÿ˜€ I felt like the majority of answers I answered were actually things I would say. :)

Here in South Africa we definitely use sunshine for stain removal. Also, I don’t use any detergent at all in any of my washing. There are wonderful things out there called “soap nuts”. You will NEVER use nasty chemical detergents again.

Also, there was no ‘dry pail’ option for where to put used nappies. We use FanciPants nappies, made locally in SA, they are AIO’s and don’t need any soaking. In fact, soaking the nappies destroys the waterproof cover over time, and I believe this is true for pretty much all the AIO’s out there.

So I would have answered a few things differently if there were more appropriate options available, but great quiz anyway. Thanks so much

    • Thanks for your thoughts, it is always fun to hear from readers from across the globe! It was a simple ten question quiz, so there definitely were not answers to perfectly fit every family, but it seems like some terms were lost in translation.

Cloth diapering families use a variety of detergents here in North America and the Tide question was just one specific detergent that everyone seems to have a very different opinion about, which is why it was added to the quiz. Families use soap nuts, detergents and there are many products on the market specially formulated for cloth diapers.

Lastly, the term wet bag refers to the waterproof BAG that store the dirty diapers, and they are never actually soaked in water for storage for the exact reason you mentioned. Hopefully that clears up a couple of things for you so you can try and take the quiz again to see if you get the same results. ๐Ÿ˜€
