My Hubby’s on Vacation Giveaway (8/19)

My husband begins some vacation time today and I thought I would celebrate having him home and the last stretch of summer vacation with a giveaway! There are some to-do lists to tackle and little trips we will be taking over the next few weeks to take advantage of the gorgeous weather and we plan to thoroughly enjoy our last few weeks of summer vacation so before my daughter starts kindergarten. I had a few samples I wanted to pass on to one of my readers and this would be perfect for a gift or to use on an end of summer getaway or staycation!

Leslie’s Boutique is a line of wetbags and other products that use adorable designer print fabrics and I am a sucker for designer fabrics. Their Diaper Changing Pad uses cotton prints and soft, luxurious minky dot fabric on the opposite side with a hidden layer of PUL in between and is one of our travel essentials. It is sized so that it fits on most changing surfaces and it rolls up and velcros shut. When it is clean, it doubles as a side pillow to wedge between baby’s head and the side of the stroller when they fall asleep and I have even reached for this to use as a mini blanket. It is a relatively versatile piece that I can toss in my diaper bag as we shop close to home or on sightseeing adventures. It is easy to toss in the wash or even hand wash and hang dry if you are staying in a hotel.

One of our favorite diapers for my son, who is potty learning but still in diapers part time, is the Charlie Banana One Size Pocket diaper. It fits him well and with both inserts provides plenty of absorption overnight or one insert makes for a trimmer fit when we just need it for accidents away from home. This one size design run larger than their earlier one size releases a couple of years back, just so you are aware if you are an old CB fan that the newer versions do have a larger size range. And what better color to coordinate with the Wild Friends print than their Holly Brown?

We have plans to finally visit Mt. Rainer, Portland, Vancouver and perhaps a jaunt to the Pacific Ocean, a kite festival, Children’s museum or another zoo we have not yet stopped to see.

What are your travel plans the rest of the summer or what adventures did you already enjoy?

  1. Sounds like you will be in my neck of the woods. I live on the central oregon coast and I haven’t been to the kite festival in years. But now that I have a 2.5 year old, it might just be the perfect fun/free day for her.

    • Someone was telling us about it and my five-year-old is dying to go. I think my two year old would love it too. Do you think it’s worth the drive? I think it’s 2-3 hours from where we are in Washington.

  2. Who won the giveaway?
