This Little Piggy Went to the Market & Prince Lionheart Wheely Bug #Giveaway (2/1)

Prince Lionheart WheelyPig

I do not know what it is about pigs, but my daughter loves them. There is Olivia, the Dream Big, Little Pig books we love, a flannel pillowcase I made with little piggies on it that she adores, stuffed animals in our toy bin and “This Little Piggy Went to the Market” has been a favorite game that I play with my kids from my own childhood. Our latest pig addition? The Prince Lionheart Wheely Pig.

We are big fans of Wheely Bugs at our home and got our first a couple of years ago when my daughter was a toddler. We added a small Wheely Bee to our collection last December for my son’s birthday and I purchased a Wheely Tiger for my nephew last month for Christmas. It is a toy that is durable, looks nice, is easy to clean up and provides hours of fun. My kids even dress them up and incorporate them as characters in imaginative play or “transform” them into a different animal during their scenarios.

Wheely Bugs are available in two sizes to accommodate for 18 mos.+ and 3 yrs.+ children up to 50 lbs. and come is six different animal choices. They remind me of the square “scooters” I would play with in P.E. class in elementary school a couple of decades ago and Prince Lionheart has designed these for “industrial” kid use for years of enjoyment. Our original Wheely Bug is still in pristine shape after two years of regular use!

My daughter’s favorite feature of our Wheely Pig is the curly tail and mine are the floppy little ears. It works best on wooden, laminate and smooth surfaces, but the carpet is nice if they are old enough to tackle the resistance and you need to slow them down. With all of the rain and gloom during the winter months here in Washington it has been nice to have an indoor activity that they can let some energy out on them as they zip around downstairs.

What are some of your family’s favorite indoor activities in the winter months (or on rainy days)?
