My daughter is only in preschool three mornings a week and she can often be a challenge to entertain in the afternoons while brother is sleeping. I will confess the television gets put on far more than I would like, but sometimes I run out of energy or ideas to come up with engaging activities to feed her growing mind. What if you could leave it to someone else to put activities together to do a few times a month?
Green Kid Crafts offer a monthly or annual subscription program that includes shipping and additional siblings can be added for an extra $10 per month. They strive to make green choices in the project materials and put together craft ideas that focus on eco-awareness. Special craft kits can be purchased separately and they also have some “best of” boxes available for purchase that would make a lovely gift.
I was introduced to Green Kid Crafts through my membership in the YoGetters Stonyfield bloggers group and the Food Adventures Discovery Kit came with four activities to entertain my daughter. Monthly craft boxes typically come with three activities, but this particular set came with a bonus activity as well as some coupons and freebies from organic food companies. My daughter made the coaster project to give as a holiday gift and we are excited to plant the seeds this weekend when my brother comes in town for the holidays. We have subscribed to a few different children’s magazines and my daughter loves to get her own mail, but a package is definitely more exciting. I had never considered a craft box subscription in the past, but after getting a taste of what it is about, it is something that I will put some thought into in the future.
