We had family photos taken the end of April that we just got back last week and I am excited to finally have some photos with all four of us (I am always the one behind the camera). I wish that we could retake them now that I am starting to reap the rewards of working out, but they still came out nicely and I was excited to wear a brand new skirt for the photo shoot.
I have fallen in love with skirts over the past year and wear them on a more regular basis, because they are more forgiving of weight fluctuation and hide my mommy tummy nicely. My favorite skirts are simple skirts with bold prints but I have wanted a long, flowy skirt for quite sometime. My favorite outfit when I was pregnant two summers ago was a long maxi dress and I always felt cooler than wearing pants during the warm months.
When I was given a choice of a clothing item from Fresh Produce there were dozens of items I would have happily worn, but this long asymmetrical maxi skirt called to me. I feel like the lines and the higher cut in the front give more shape to the skirt and also keep me from tripping over it while juggling two kids. The soft knit fabric of the What it Seems Skirt is easy to wear and the solid prints can be dressed up or worn with a more casual outfit.
Now that I have my maxi skirt to get me through the summer months, what my wardrobe really needs right now are shirts since I only have a couple of shirts that I feel cute it. My recent favorites are hip length shirts with a little flow to them like the Vintage Drape T, and I also like the floral prints of their Vintage Scoop T I saw while browsing their website. I need to stay on top of my workout routine after I move and do not have my group of moms to work out with, because I want to reward myself with more tops so I stop feeling so blah in large T-shirts and jeans most days I am home with the kids.
