Wait, Is it Spring? ~Plus~ Dora’s Easter Adventure DVD #Giveaway (3/16)

With forecasts in the 70s this week, I am ready for spring. Granted the moody Midwestern weather will ultimately mean we’ll get another cold spell or two before the warmer weather sticks, but I am done with winter! Easter is always the sign of spring for me as my family celebrates both the blooming flowers and religious holiday. With less than a month until Easter I know I need to start planning for Easter baskets and springtime festivities and I am always sure to include books and DVDs in my kids’ baskets. Yes, I toss in a little candy, but I make sure to put in plenty of other inedible entertainment.

The newest Dora the Explorer release is here, just in time for the upcoming holiday. So whether you buy it to watch now in preparation or surprise a loved one for Easter, it is sure to be another favorite. The Grumpy Old Troll wedding episode was also perfect for us, because we are leaving this weekend for my sister-in-law’s wedding so we were able to talk about that to prepare her and their wedding was also outdoors. My daughter is always very timid at Easter Egg Hunts, (which I will take any day over her being a greedy, egg-hoarding kid!) and this video has been a great way to start talking about the upcoming holiday and perhaps she will get a little more confidence for this year’s hunt.

Be sure to visit Paramount online for a $3 off coupon good from March 20-April 8th and save on your purchase this spring.

Dora the Explorer: Dora’s Easter Adventure Episode Synopses:

Dora’s Easter Adventure
Dora and Boots are waiting for their friend, the Hip-Hop Bunny, to bring his basket filled with eggs and treats for their big egg hunt. Just as the Bunny arrives at the forest, Swiper swipes the basket and throws it far into the Rainbow Garden – where it’s headed for a waterfall! It’s Dora and Boots to the rescue as they join the Bunny on an Easter Day Adventure singing the Hip-Hop Bunny’s Easter song, going past the scratchy flowers at the Garden and racing down the Rainbow River on a giant rubber ducky to save the basket.
