Have You Started Shopping for Holiday Cards? ~Plus~ The Gallery Collection Boxed Cards #Giveaway (11/10)

It is November 1st and the radio has already started playing holiday songs. This is when the anticipation for my favorite season (and a sprinkle of panic) begins. It is three weeks until Thanksgiving, then the one month countdown until Christmas and my son’s first birthday. Deep breath. Are you starting to make your gift lists and get your holiday cards ordered?

The dilemma I always face in the fall is whether to order personalized cards or send out generic ones. My first choice is always to send out personalized Christmas cards, but I haven’t even had photos of my ten-month-old taken since he was two-months-old and I don’t have any family photo sessions scheduled yet. Honestly, I keep avoiding it until I lose more weight or at least the 5 pounds I gained on vacation! If I want to get a family photo in time to order a photo card I need to get it done before Thanksgiving so I have time to order cards and get them addressed and mailed.

An alternative idea for this year is to get a high quality personalized message card, then add a printed copy of a family photo before putting it in the mail. This way I would have a little more time to get that perfect family photo taken before it is crunch time or I can forget the photo altogether. The Gallery Collection allows you to select a holiday, birthday or special occasion message from dozens of choices, then add your own personalized message or signature below for that extra special touch. I am really happy with the way my samples turned out and you also have the option to have your return address printed on the envelopes which saves me from writing or sticking on return address labels. The card stock is thick and sturdy, the embossing is gorgeous and I don’t feel like I am compromising a photo card if I tuck in a printed photo.

They included a sample birthday card in my samples, which made me chuckle, because they have no idea how appropriate that is with my Christmas birthday boy! What are your plans for holiday or New Year’s cards this year?

Win it!

The winner will have a choice of an all-occasion, Holiday card or Birthday card assortment.

Samples were provided for this article, but no monetary compensation was received.
