The New Activia Selects Greek, French and Dessert Varieties

Now that you know that I consume chocolate on a regular basis, I will talk about another staple that I write about on often: yogurt! I’ve made my own, written about a number of varieties and start my kids on whole milk yogurt around 6 months. Yogurt even has a whole basket in our fridge dedicated to it. While we have been in Japan the past five days my daughter alone has consumed probably a dozen cups and my father even swung by the store on his way home from work last night to pick up some more, because she enjoys it so much. It is not an understatement when I say we love our yogurt.

Although yogurt in general is nutritious and has digestive and immunity benefits, there are some varieties that boast a little more assistance in the “regulation” department and Activia is one of them. I was excited to see it in the dairy section here in Japan, although it goes by a different name (Bio) for better marketability. I picked up a 4-pack at the grocery store today for my husband since he hasn’t been having his “one-a-day” since we have been here since the brands and textures of yogurt in Japan are a little different for him and I figured (despite the Japanese writing and slightly different name) it would be relatively familiar. So whether home or abroad yogurt serves as a nutritious meal, dessert, snack or compliment to a meal for our family and is an awesome no-fuss food for me to have on hand.

Activia is entering the dessert and European style yogurt markets with some recent product releases you will also be excited about if you are as enthusiastic about yogurt as well are. And if not, maybe it will peak your interest into finding more ways to bring yogurt into your diet. They have just launched a Greek and French style line that comes in a number of different flavors, as well as a dessert series which includes delectable flavors like Strawberry Cheesecake, Blueberry Cheesecake, Peach Cobbler and Vanilla Bean. I enjoy the heavier Greek styles to add some substance to a light lunch or to use in cooking and the dessert versions are suitable for those afternoon munchies or a more nutritious take on dessert.

I wrote this review while participating in a campaign by Mom Central Consulting on behalf of Dannon Activia Selects Yogurt Series and received a coupon to facilitate my review and a promotional item to thank me for taking the time to participate. However, my opinions are entirely my own and I have not been paid to publish positive comments.
