Affordable Organic Cooking from My Own Garden ~Plus~ Earthbound Farm Giveaway {EV $100} (8/17)

I strive to buy organic produce, especially the items listed in the “dirty dozen,” and have been blessed this summer to have some of my own organic produce from my very own garden. I have always used the ingredients in whatever recipe I was making, but I am now the proud owner of my first organic cookbooks thanks to Earthbound Farm.

Although you can cook any recipe using organic ingredients, Myra Goodman’s cookbooks feature scrumptious recipes, tutorials and educational chapters on everything from recycling basics to egg label claims, so that you can make the most informed decisions when shopping for your family.

Both of her cookbooks are about 400 pages thick, filled with gorgeous pictures on every page, and have tons of information on ingredients, green living and other relevant topics. I am such a visual person that I am more likely to make a recipe that has a picture to accompany it and most of her recipes in this book have vivid photos which make each recipe very appealing!

These books have a diverse collection of recipes from cuisines all around the country and world and plenty of dessert recipes to satisfy a sweet tooth like myself. On my menu this week: Myra’s Whole Wheat Bread.

The Earthbound Farm website has a section entirely for kids, tips on organic gardening, downloadable charts for herbs and salad greens, as well as cooking tips for speeding up prep time for fresh ingredients. For more information at
