I was actually surprised how fun it has been to buy boyish outfits for my new little guy and there is seems to be much more on the market today than there used to be when I was growing up. What about boyish fluff? No exception. In my opinion, Rumparooz has the best selection of gender specific patterns rather than just colors (although they have tons of great solids as well), and I had the opportunity from Diapers Etc. to check out one of the newer Rumparooz boyish prints Robotronic. He will definitely love it as he grows older and Ladder 6 and Whale Tale are also patterns I would love to add to my stash down the road. Rumparooz are definitely a brand to consider if you want adorable, gender specific patterns and although on the pricier side for one size pocket diapers I love the adjustability of the 6-r-soaker insert and the inner gussets are some of the best and softest on the market. They also have fit my newborn earlier than most other one size diapers on the market.
I also had the opportunity to check out a new accessory, some boyish Imse Vimse Flanelette Wipes! It has been a while since I’ve tried a new wipe and I was interested in trying a new brand. These wipes are made of organic cotton flannelette and are a generously sized, single layer wipe. They have enough surface area for messy clean ups, stay pretty soft and keep their shape nicely (wipes, particularly double-layered ones and those with organic materials usually have a tendency to shrink unevenly). They are not limited to being used as diaper wipes, but would be perfect reusable tissues, washcloths and if you plan on using them for multiple things you could even color code them (although we grab them out of the wipes warmer to clean sticky hands and faces all the time). At less than $1 per wipe they are affordable and organic, two words which are thankfully starting to be seen hand in hand more often. These are one of our favorite wipes in our stash now, and we go through a couple dozen a day with two kids now, so we may look at getting some more!
