One More Week to Go….

Until my due date, that is! I was convinced he’d make an early arrival and although he still has time to do that, we’ll just have to see. It’d be crazy if he was actually born Christmas Eve or Day like the ultrasounds estimate, but the little guy deserves his own special day, so I’m all about him arriving early or late.

I have most of my to-do list for the holidays done, clothes and diapers tucked away waiting, and now I just have to keep busy until he arrives. Well, maybe some relaxation and a bath or two as well, but there a sprinkle of reviews and giveaways I’d love to post as well. We’ll just see what my body allows me to get accomplished, because it is definitely slowing down by the minute. Not sure if it’s my growing belly, fatigue trying to wrap everything up for the holidays or if it’s the cold weather, but I have a feeling it’s all of the above.

I know it's hard at this time of year, but try to take it easy! You'll be happy you did after baby gets here! Hope you enjoy you last week (s?) of your pregnancy. :-)

Wow! We are exactly one week apart, I'm due on 1/1/11. I'm ready also. I actually fell on my tailbone yesterday and it's a horrid pain, especially with the baby's head engaged. Good luck, I love the whole experience coming up soon.

My daughter was born on December 26 two years ago. For your sake and the sake of your new baby, I hope that the arrival will be as far removed from Christmas as can safely occur. It is a royal pain trying to coordinate the holidays and a birthday, and I know that despite our best efforts, there will be years where she still feels slighted. I went into labor at 10pm Christmas night, and she was born exactly 24 hours later. She was also a nice 5 days late, little stinker, so that didn't help.

I hope you take the advice of other commenters though and really enjoy these last days and moments of your pregnancy. It will be over before you know it. (Which is good, but still, then you have a lot more work to do taking care of the actual baby, of course!)

  4. I am so excited for you to meet your little man! I know I'm getting excited to meet mine too! I actually did some work in his room last night.. now I need to sew some diapers for him.
