Your newborn’s first bath. For a new parent this can bring some anxiety as they are so small and fragile, and even though I’ve done it before, I imagine I’ll be a little nervous in the beginning for my new baby as well. I already have a bad back and bath time takes a toll on my back, so a standing option is a must for me when my little ones are small.
When my daughter was an infant, I put her infant tub in the kitchen sink, which helped my back a great deal, but the newborn insert still didn’t cradle her enough to feel safe so bath time and crying were synonymous for the first little while (thankfully, she later came to love bath time). This tub seems like a fantastic solution so that you can bathe your little one standing up (especially when the kitchen sink may be filled with dirty dishes you haven’t gotten around to in the first weeks after baby comes home or anytime for that matter`), it cradles your new baby to help them feel less anxious and it folds flat for drying! This is a feature I am especially excited about, because baby gear seems to be so bulky and takes up a lot of storage space.
It is easy to fold into shape, fits nicely in standard bathroom sinks and I love how soft the antibacterial and antifungal foam-like material is. I am excited to put it to the test in a couple of months once baby is home and ready for his first real bath. Stay tuned for a review after baby boy’s arrival!
