Whether you are expecting for the first time or up-teenth time, pregnancy education and resources are important for a healthy pregnancy. Even though I am not taking any traditional classes at the hospital or other facility this pregnancy, I am still referencing books and online resources to refresh my memory, look up my various “symptoms” and to make sure I am on the right track to ensuring my bun in the oven is baked to perfection. BabyCenter is a leading online resource and community that also offers online courses, phone applications and books to make sure you have the information you and your loved ones need to aid you in this journey of motherhood.
Since my phone or laptop are always close at hand, the free iPhone application and online class option are great resources for me, although I would recommend traditional books like the ones they just released to access more detailed information. Their new Pregnancy and Baby books are coffee table worthy and well organized, full of gorgeous color photos and easy-to-read. The website is great to search for quick questions, find support from other moms, and they even have a place where you can keep track of milestones (really slacked on this one with my daughter!).
