Charlie Banana One Size & Sized Pocket Diaper Review

These diapers only available in snap closures and with a front pocket style, but are available in both one size or sized styles. Although it is not as easy to stuff and unstuff as roomier back pockets, the front pocket style allows the inserts to be contained at all times and avoid the microfleece overhang that may happen when throwing on certain styles of pocket diapers.

These diapers fit well, were absorbent and are still large enough for my toddler with both inserts without being too tight on the thighs or waist. Although she is on the last snap settings of the one size diaper, I am still able to secure them all rather than skipping one of the waist snaps or only use one insert like I need to do with some smaller one size diapers on the market. The sized diapers allow for a more customized fit, especially for smaller infants and older/larger toddlers, but can also allow for more absorption to be added to heavy wetters and overnight diapering.

At around $19 per diaper, these are probably the most cost effective when bought in their multipacks and more comparable to the price range of comparable diapers on the market. The one size style will also save you additional money in the long run since they will work for most children from birth to potty training. Although their website shows a wide range of colors and prints, I am not seeing them for sale yet in the U.S. market. They are a new brand on the market, so I anticipate there will be more retailers colors, and package options available in the near future.

Absorption/Inserts: These one size diapers come with two inserts in a small and medium/large size that can be used separately as your child grows or together for toddlers, heavy wetters and overnight diapering.

The sized diapers come with 2 inserts each, for example, the large sized diaper we received to review came with 2 large inserts. One insert is great for daytime use , but it is great to have two inserts to use overnight or even for naptime and heavy wetters in general. This is one thing to note when considering the price, because most sized diapers on the market typically only include one insert.

Rise: Adjustable. The one size diaper has button-hold elastic that can adjust the rise and the sized diapers are available in different rises according to size.

    I Love their selection of colors and prints. My son loves Dump Trucks and Construction equipment so I just know he'd love the "Under Construction" print. I also love the Shanghai Green and Turquoise. But if I had a girl I would NOT be able to resist the Hot Pink!! Thanks!

    Here's my entry for your current giveaway for "Tuck Me In":
    My 6 year old reads a story to his 4 year old brother while I get the twins to sleep, then one of the parents reads another story. "Tuck Me In" would be a great one to add to the rotation, and one to help my 4 year old learn to read too!
