Although my daughter is heavy, the majority of her weight is in her height, and she often fits into smaller sizes than one would think. Every style and brand diaper is cut differently and it was better to be sure that it fit, rather than have a diaper that was too small to review.Consequently, the diaper was a little bulky on her, but was a great overnight solution. This is a reminder that there are often times when you will want to size up, even if only a handful of diapers, for naptime/overnight or otherwise heavy wetters. The prefold was characteristically absorbent and the cover is durable and easy to fasten. As a family that prefers snaps 80-90% of the time, I would love to see them come out with a snap covers as well.
Real Nappies are obviously beloved in their country of origin for their durability, affordability and relative ease of use. They are a great prefold system to consider, but as with any prefold system they will be slightly bulkier and lack the stay dry feeling of other modern cloth diapers. On the flip side, prefolds are durable, absorbent and can be repurposed after your children’s diapering years, thus are a good investment. Available in a number of bright, fun colors, other accessories such as diaper liners and swim diapers are also available.
