I am excited to share with you Rebecca Frezza’s newest release, Rockin’, Rolling’ and Ridin’, which came out this past winter. If the soft, mellow, nursery rhymes are putting you to sleep at the wheel and you need something more upbeat or you want to find child-friendly music for your school-aged kiddos with a modern or rock-like flare, you will want to give this CD a listen!
This CD does a great job focusing on topics that grab children’s attention and uses rhythms and instrumentation that you cannot help but move and shake along with your kids. Many of the songs are interactive as well to keep your kids mentally engaged and physically active and burn off that extra energy while still allowing them to use their imaginations to their fullest.
What child won’t feel like the top of the world soaring around the living room while listening to “Superman (Remix)” or clapping and shaking it to “Rock Like This”. You can listen to sound clips of the songs here, but be sure to check out her other CDs as well. There are lots of great songs , but make sure you check out songs like “Skipping Stones” and “Clouds” from her original release “Music in my Heart”. It’d be a great song to wind down after some boogie time with her new Rockin’, Rollin’ and Ridin’ CD.
“Rocketship” brought back memories of children I worked with at a school back in Philadelphia using the poem or chant that the lyrics to this song are based on and “Hey-O” reminded me of a cross between an African call and answer song, camp song and a rock song rolled into one. They also perform in the northeast if you ever want to see Rebecca Frezza & Big Truck perform live! This is a great upbeat CD that will be fun for you and your kids to listen and dance to and at less than $9 per CD, how can you resist?
