First Time Books Review

You can readily get personalized cups, labels, shirts and other goodies; even books with names printed on the cover. First Time Books takes this to the next level by personalizing books from the cover, title page, then includes your child’s name on every page. You can also choose gender and physical features of your child to be printed on each page of the book to create a truly personalized book that your child can identify with.

My daughter loves her ABC book and loves to read it together from cover to cover. I think she enjoys the animals (she adores animals), hearing her name and the silly little rhymes and verses for each letter of the alphabet. In addition to the ABC book they also have a Potty Book, Coloring Book, Birthday Book, I Spy Book, Christmas Adventure Book and Journal available for personalization.

I like that you can purchase the book bound or in a PDF format (at a fraction of the cost) to print it yourself. I think that this feature if perfect particularly for the Coloring Book or if you kids are hard on books and you want to option to reprint pages or copies of the books. I did find a type-o on one of the pages, but I am not sure if it was just in my copy or if this is in all of the ABC Book copies. I will note, however, that I did not fill out the personalization forms like you would if you were ordering it online, since I was corresponding with the company via email,.

If you visit their website you can see all the books they have available and they even allow your to see a preview of every page of the books so you can decide which book(s) you may be interested in. I think that the Coloring Book is a great idea and perfect if you buy it in the PDF format so your kids can recolor their favorite pictures over and over again!

They also offer a free Activity Book PDF (see right sidebar on their website).

A personalized ABC book was provided for this review.
