Proudly made in the USA, Knickernappies started as most the leading cloth diapering companies began: a need for their children. In attempt to find a cure for their daughter’s rash they turned to cloth diapers which in turn led to the birth of their products and company. Although they started making cloth diapers, which I am eager to review some day, they also make feminine products like nursing pads and these stackable pads.
These pads are affordable, adjustable, absorbent and soft, however, are only available in the one length for the shell. The smaller, thinner insert may be snapped on to the shell to be used as a liner, the longer insert may be used alone to create a regular pad and both snaps can be snapped in simultaneously to create a pad suitable for heavier flows. If you need additional protection in the front or the back for overnight, they do offer custom orders so this may be a route you would want to take in that case.
The wings have two settings to get the best fit around your underwear and the thin fleece is waterproof yet trim, soft and breathable. I only wish the fleece was a notch thicker so that it had more body to it, but I know that would compromise some of the trimness. The shells of these pads can be reused and additional pad sets purchased to make it an even more affordable system to use.
