So these are the Mother of Eden (Fuzzi Bunz) comfort pads which are made out of the same materials you put against your baby’s bottom when using Fuzzi Bunz cloth diapers. I was able to review the three sizes (pictured above) in the adorable red and purple daisy prints. One of the many things I learned this fall while starting my mama cloth journey was how all the different textiles feel against the skin for extended periods of time, and I must say I am even happier than ever before that I cloth diaper. The microfleece is super soft and the pads felt significantly more breathable, soft and comfortable than their crunchy, papery, disposable alternatives. I felt more like I was wearing a really thick pair of underwear rather than in a disposable diaper like I felt with the disposable pads (which I avoided like the plague).
These pads are available in three sizes: the mini pad/liner, regular and super/overnight. The liner is still thick enough to be used as an everyday pad for lighter flows or days and the regular pads are a good all around pad for most days during your cycle. The heavy flow/overnight pad is best for heavy flows or overnight, but will obviously be a little bulkier. I would compare the thickness of these pads (particularly the regular and overnight sizes) to a disposable super pad, and they are slightly thinner than the monster disposable pads I used postdardum when I had my daughter.
The only cons are that there is no adjustability with the single snap, but this should fit over most panties S-L just fine, and I am guessing it will probably work with XS and XL as well. The other thing to note is that the white microfleece is prone to staining like any white material. I have had the most luck with wet storage to avoid mamacloth stains, but you can also try stain fighters like oxyclean to keep them as white and bright as possible. They come in a rainbow of colors and I just love the daisy prints, especially because none of my sized or one size Fuzzi Bunz are in prints!
