Baby Soy Review

Bamboo and hemp have been becoming popular textiles over the past few years, but have you heard about soy? I hadn’t until I came across BabySoy and they are the first company to make baby and toddler clothes from soybean fiber fabrics! They just came out with some new products including the soy/organic cotton lounge set picture above. We had the chance to review this set and it is incredibly soft (especially the soy/cotton lounge pants). So soft my husband noticed and commented on when he was dressing her the other day and the website appropriately describes it as “cashmere soft”.

I love how they list the materials used and information about these materials on their site. That is what I call responsible, thorough and a belief in one’s products. Soybean protein fiber is a sustainable and botanical textile fiber made from renewable and biodegradable natural resources – the leftover soybean pulp from tofu and soymilk production. Its 16 amino acids are healthy and nutritional for our skin. It is a green textile fiber that possesses the superiorities of many natural and synthesized fibers”. Soy has great warmth retention (comparable to wool) so it is perfect to keep your little ones warm. Read more details on soy fabrics and their collection here.

I loved these products so much I ordered the 2-in-1 Vintage T-shirt, coordinating slip-on pants, the zip front hoodie and matching cargo pants. I love how I can mix and match these items to create many different outfits and they are perfect to keep my daughter snuggly warm this winter season. I highly recommend this clothing line for its softness, sustainability and their charitable contributions. They give a portion on all proceeds to Healthy Child, Healthy World and the Half the Sky Foundation. You will want to check out their infant onesies, hats and blankets which will be perfect for your infant or as a shower gift.
