I made the announcement a number of weeks back about the Thirsties Duo Diaper and I know some of you have been anxiously been awaiting the review. The Duo diaper is essentially a pocket diaper version of their all-in-ones (being discontinued), but more cost effective and adjustable. This is great, because although my daughter needs the width of some of the large-sized diapers, she doesn't need as high of a rise. Just snap the rise setting down one and voila! I have also really liked it for its ease of use with the signature Thirsties' velcro tabs, two pocket openings so you don't have to remove the soiled inserts before washing, and the inserts that snap together.
The basic shape of the body is the same as the Duo Wraps and has 3 rise settings on the front if the diaper. The double leg gussets are softer on thighs and are great at containing messes. The inserts should be stuffed in the back, but there is also a pocket in the front with light elastic so that it can agitate out of the diaper in the wash. This reduces the step of un-stuffing, which is the messy part and what dads or other caregivers forget to (or prefer not to) do. Pair this feature with their new detergent system and you can kiss the diaper sprayer or dunking goodbye as well (with some exceptions as kids are always full of surprises). So Thirsties is on a mission to make your diapering easier, practical and more affordable and I'm liking every minute of it. So much that I ordered a second one!
By the way...did you know that Thirsties' new hemp jersey is like no other on the market!?! We (finally) found a knitter right here in the USA to custom knit the hemp textile to our specifications. You will find this hemp is thicker, softer, and holds-up better than any other on the market.
