Wonder Ball
It was strange washing without any detergent and because we get used to having some scent or sign (suds) that our laundry is being cleaned. Luckily, I have started to get used to less of these signs with many of the cloth diaper approved detergents I have used and tried, so there was less of a transition. Even when you take the laundry out of the dryer to fold, and they are obviously cleaned, it is hard to believe. It would remain unbelievable without any background or information on how it works, so I have outlined some of the information provided by the company for how this actually works. Even if you only cut down on the amount of detergent you use you will save a good amount of money over the years and you can even pay to have your ball recharged after a few years as an alternative to buying a whole new Wonder Ball.
What about cloth diapers you say? I read some positive reviews, but I still need to test it with these. My daughter was experiencing a rash during this review and we were narrowing down the cause so did not use the Wonder Ball or other new detergent with her diapers. I will admit I am a little nervous to try it, but will probably go the “little detergent” route with these. I will keep you posted!
The Wonder Ball™ is a safe pvc/vinyl ball with a frequency enhanced mineral blend inside for use in your washing machine allowing you to use less (to none at all) laundry detergents.
- Less to no detergents needed
- May cut drying time
- Less static cling
- Non-toxic to children’s clothing
- Chemical free – Skin friendly
- May reduce allergic reactions
- Environmentally friendly
- Colors stay brighter
- Lasts about 3 years / 2000 washes
Wonder Dryer Balls
It is inevitable that the dryer finishes running and a piece of clothing (or all of it) is slightly damp and needs another whirl. If you add up 5-7 loads of laundry a week and 20 minutes of extra drying time over a year….I don’t even dare do the math. It would probably pay for the set of dryer balls in less than a year. Wonder Dryer Balls also eliminate the need for dryer sheets. I am not sure how much I spend each year on dryer sheets, but I am guessing anywhere from $10-20. So most households will pay for the dryer balls in less than a year, if you consider the savings in electricity and dryer sheets.
I noticed that I was running few to no extra tumbles while using the dryer balls, which is fantastic. Both for the money savings and the time savings so I don’t have to make extra trips to the laundry room to turn the dryer back on. They are engineered for a lifetime so for the cost of one year worth of dryer sheets these dryer balls can be yours. I love my Roweta ironing board, but hate ironing clothes (I mainly use my board for sewing
). See the instruction below to use these Dryer Balls to get the wrinkles out without ironing!
“WONDER DRYER BALLS” benefits include:
2. Ironing alternatives. (See instructions below).
3. Reduced wrinkles.
4. Reduced static cling on all natural fiber fabrics (i.e. less friction between clothing).
5. Softening for your laundry.
6. Removal of extra lint particles. (Really works great ! ! !)
7. Non-toxic for use around small children and pets.
8. Hypo-allergenic for skin sensitive people.
9. Colorfast on all fabrics.
10. Non-perfumed.
11. ENGINEERED FOR A LIFETIME.
12. Buy the best. Do not be mislead with cheap imitations

IRONING ALTERNATIVE:
The Verdict
The Wonder Balls seems to clean and do their job and the Dryer Balls definitely reduce some drying time (as long as the dryer is not over stuffed). I don’t plan on eliminating detergents completely, but hope to benefit from the financial savings and chemical free alternative to my laundry for years to come.

I was wondering about those. Very cool.
I learned that hte "WONDER DRYER BALLS" retain the heat with the little "nubs" on the ball begin to lift and separate your damp clothing while evenly pushing hot air through them

This looks like a great system to have. I'm about to start my journey in the cloth diaper world and have been looking at different laundry techniques that would work the best at cleaning the diaper without causing any harm to the baby. I'll be going to website to get more information. Thanks
