Diaper Tips Tuesday: I Need Your Input

Photobucket

Alright, so I need your input. I am trying to plan my diaper tips, but I want them to be the most useful to you. I started this after one of my 12 AM “light bulb” moments, so didn’t have a big picture in mind in the beginning. Now that we’ve gone for a few weeks I know that I want more participants so we all have more tips to learn from and I also want everyone to have the opportunity to visit different blogs and have multiple views or approaches to learn from so they can decide what best fits their needs or family.

*Should we have monthly themes and keep one MckLinky going through the whole month?
*Stick with the weekly tips?
*What tips and topics would you like keep covered?
*Other ideas and comments?

Please comment with you thoughts or opinions and we can really make this a fantastic opportunity to learn from each other whether you’re a newbie or a veteran cloth diapering mama we all can contribute!

I like the weekly tips. I would love to see tips on diaper rash and caring for different types of diapers.
my lo has a rash now and has never had this…. :( not sure what to do.

Maybe every other week? Weekly seems a bit much but monthly seems too long, ya know?

As far as tips – maybe wash routines. I had a friend ask me last night how I kept all the inserts straight if you have a varied stash….favorite detergents? yeh, still working on getting that caffeine in my system 😉

I just know I LOVE the idea of DTT!

I agree with keeping the tips posted on a weekly basis. diaper rash prevention/treatment is a good one (I have used the Magic Stick on my DD from day one after each poopie diaper and I also don't use baby wipes because the ingredients feed the yeast…no rashes)

I also like the weekly tips. Diaper rash prevention/treatment and laundering are always good topics. Maybe include tips on what you do when you go out for the day, weekend, or vacation. It might also be nice to expand like once a month to other things like green living.

  5. I love the idea of keeping it weekly. I've got a couple ideas for things you haven't covered yet…..building a stash, destashing when your needs change, best one size dipes, best pocket, best fitted, etc. Ways to show off your fluff, ways to connect with other cloth diapering families, a day in the life of your stash, little things that make a big difference.

Can you tell I'm excited that you are doing this?

    Hi there Emi,
Diaper tips is a great idea, but figuring out how to set it up is a tough one.
Monthly theme might be the best way to go and then you can do like two posts from you and two guests posts where they can also do q&a.
About MckLinky, how about when you announce the theme for the month also let everyone know that they can participate by doing their own blogs and McLinky will be up the 3rd week of the month that way you give the guest bloggers their own time to shine at the beginning of the month??
As for the tips and topics I'd like to see? How about tips on… EVERYTHING (from storing to cleaning and making to buying).
I think that's about it… sorry so long. :p Good luck!
