Playdate NYC Review

I love adorable, original clothing that is not your run-of-the-mill every-other-kid-is-wearing-it product. You will definitely find this at Playdate NYC where they design and sew each of their products with love and care. They have a little something for everyone from your infant to your elementary schooler, and princess to football lover. We absolutely adore our Zipper Hearts shirt we received in pink. They sent is a size up so my DD has room to grow and the long sleeves are perfect for the fall. She is absolutely enthralled by the zippered pocket and I know it’s only a matter of time before I find all sorts of goodies in it on washing day (but hey it keeps a very busy toddler busy) :-) The waffle cotton material was soft and comfortable and the heart carefully stitched on without any scratchy backings to rub on DD’s chest.

Story Behind the Products:
Playdate NYC was started by two moms, a Texan and a New Yorker, who met on a play date in Central Park in N.Y.C. one Spring day in 2004. Before mommy-hood, both had successful careers as an estate planning lawyer and a Japanese art curator respectively, but wanted to channel their creative energy into something more inspiring for their own children as well as for other mothers.

At apparel comes in many colorful shirts, onesies, yoga pants, dresses and hats all made of 100% cotton. Sizes available are infant 3 month to children size 10. You will fall in love with their whimsical designs from monograms, rockets and little fish to the more trendy peace sign, skully, and superhero cape. All of Playdate NYC’s products are handmade right down to the designing, cutting and sewing to their personal guarantee of not only quality, but the best customer service possible.

The Verdict
We definitely recommend Playdate NYC to anyone who wants great personalized clothing as a gift or for your children. You can get practical clothing for school or fun play clothes. Come on, what child wouldn’t LOVE a customized letter cape?
